a weekend of motorbikes....

last saturday was Aberdare Park races, a small 1 mile circuit where a variety of bikes from MZ's to R6 yams to old cafe racers, compete on a narrow twisty track. I found taking pics in some sections quite tricky as they flew past quite close and trying to match their speed as you take the pic almost results in whiplash lol ( also found that drinking alcohol didn't help as as the day progressd my pics became blurrier and blurrier ) but the weather was awesome so all in all it was a great day out..

Sunday was the rideout to Aberystwyth , a beautiful seaside town with approximately 100 miles of awesome twisty roads to get there - so me, gus , and barrie, all went for a blast to meet up there with some other members of the VFR club for fish and chips and ice cream :D

Busy busy busy !!

lack of updates only means one thing - i've been busy !

There is going to be a huge amount of pics coming soon ( i have over 1000 to sort through ) but i shall put the most recent first with the pics from a visit to Longleat safari park....

A 2-part blog

Having done so much over the last 8 days i haven't really had time to post my pics and tales of adventure, so will make this a 2 part entry with the most recent events first..
Less than 24 hours ago i got home from Nightwalker Island ( Sulli island in penarth actually, but we just claimed it as ours for fun )
Its a small Island off Penarth which gets cut off when the tide is anywhere but out so once you're on there - unless you have a boat or helicopter, you're stuck! swimming isn't an option as the rip tide going between the island and the beach has claimed quite a few lives apparently..
So much drunkeness and BBQ'ing was the order for the weekend with really hot days ( a rarety in Wales ) and awesome sunsets...

British Drift Championship

what can i say ! awesome weekend watching 2 of our NightWalkers team compete in round 2 of the BDC, early morning was qualifying and practice sessions then after dinner the main event began , unfortunately due to a first qualifier spin off and then car problems - Chris (aka Bulk) didn't qualify in the top 16 to enter the competition, but marc ( aka crosshatch ) qualified and then went on to come 3rd place ! well done fella :D

In the evening after the competition was the NightWalkers house party and lots of alcohol was consumed by all with the night ending with Mason getting his head shaved haha

some pics of the bulk and crosshatch on the circuit
