Slideways.....

Finally got my first "official" drift on in the new car :D and much fun was had by all. Only downside was the weather which couldn't make its mind up - one minute it was nice and dry/sunny , next it was howling winds and rain/hail ! which kinda made the pitstop BBQ a rather hurried afair...
Still we had a variety of mechanical casualties with Goose managing to hit a central reservation the night before the event, Mason STILL not getting his damn clutch done, Rhys's engine deciding it had enough about 1 week before the event and the new engine he got as a replacement was buggered too, Woody almost crashing his car into a high kirb due to his open differential making his car a bit twitchy. Event casualties were Madda bending a trackrod arm??! how the hell he managed that i do not know.. and the RX7 and R32 skyline both killing their turbos, Dunx deciding that the track wasn't quite big enough for him and thought that he could manji his BMW over a 8ft banking haha...

I thought that my car had performed quite well and found it easier to drift than the skyline - alot more controlable when switching directions and generally alot more predictable to drive...i also was quite chuffed that the car survived the days abuse ( CA18 engines are apparently not that tough ) and it did seem that was until i started her up the next day and heard some weird noises coming from my ( new ) turbo :( so being that the MOT is now up and the road tax is up at the end of the month - i've decided to take her off the road and strip her from front to back and sort out ANY problems i find on the way, i want her perfect ready for the summer drift sessions....

anyways heres a few pics of my beast in action...
