getting to grips with the 50d

I'm starting to love this camera more and more now that I have managed to suss out the metering..

Have to go to the docs after being written off work for another 6 months AGAIN.. apparently I'm showing all the signs of having Aspergers.. oh joy ! spend nearly 2 years recovering from a motorcycle accident to be told my head is screwed lol ah well..

New camera..

My latest purchase.. a Canon 50D, is giving me a hard time with its strange metering, but it won't win I shall rule its magnesium alloy and plastic ass oh yes ! the 1000d bit the big one the day before the 50D arrived.. do electronic things get jealous ? maybe it commit suicide rather than become 2nd best :/

Loving "second life" at the moment - I have made a good few friends there at the bunker, watching lives gigs and generally exploring or making a fool of myself.. its addicting as it is entertaining :P

omh 2 years !

Well well welllllll ! it's been 2 years since i posted here.. forgot all about this little blog, tho i had reason.. had a motorcycle accident in october 08' which kinda left me bed ridden for 6 months and i've spend most of the last 2 years recovering ! madness, but now i'm back to myself once more and creating havoc and enjoying my life (without motorbikes :( )

My photography has moved forward since then and i've had opertunity to do alot of shoots around many different subjects :)

a weekend of motorbikes....

last saturday was Aberdare Park races, a small 1 mile circuit where a variety of bikes from MZ's to R6 yams to old cafe racers, compete on a narrow twisty track. I found taking pics in some sections quite tricky as they flew past quite close and trying to match their speed as you take the pic almost results in whiplash lol ( also found that drinking alcohol didn't help as as the day progressd my pics became blurrier and blurrier ) but the weather was awesome so all in all it was a great day out..

Sunday was the rideout to Aberystwyth , a beautiful seaside town with approximately 100 miles of awesome twisty roads to get there - so me, gus , and barrie, all went for a blast to meet up there with some other members of the VFR club for fish and chips and ice cream :D
